The new company is a merger of the former mechanical engineering divisions of HOCHTIEF, the Rhine-Ruhr shuttering business of HOCHTIEF, and Streif Schalungsbau GmbH, a fully-owned affiliate of HOCHTIEF. It consolidates experience and know-how gained in 120 years of company history of its predecessors. The first managing directors are Jörg Haußer (technical) and Günter G. Soost (commercial). Streif Baulogistik changes its organizational structure to divisions. In initially three divisions Building machinery and equipment, Scaffolding and shuttering, and New business areas (now Technology and services) its business units and offices operate as independent profit centers with affiliated factories.November 2000 Establishment of a new company in Poland
With the establishment of its subsidiary Streif Baulogistik Polska, the German leader in building logistics expands into the fast-growing markets in Poland and Eastern Europe. The company now has business units in four cities Warsaw, Posen, Cracow and Kattowitz and has consolidated its position as market leader in the Polish crane rental sector.
